About Nagato Yumoto Onsen
Nagato Yumoto is Yamaguchi’s oldest hot spring town with over 600 years of history. The area has undergone a vibrant transformation, centered around the iconic public bath “Onto” and the opening of Hoshino Resorts KAI Nagato.
The town now features Yamaguchi’s first riverside terraces (Kawadoko), charming stepping stones across the river, and enchanting evening illuminations that light up the streets. With a growing number of stylish restaurants and cafes, this area is a true “outdoor paradise” nestled along the Otozure River.
Yamaguchi Ichinosakagawa Store
Located along the Ichinosaka River in Yamaguchi City, a famous destination known for its cherry blossoms and fireflies.
This historic area was once modeled after Kyoto’s Kamogawa River by the Ouchi clan. Please enjoy our Kawarasoda while soaking in the elegant, timeless atmosphere of this riverside neighborhood.

About the Ichinosaka River Area
The area offers a unique blend of history and culture.
On the left bank, you will find the charming streets of Tatekoji and Odono-oji. These historic districts were developed during the Muromachi period by the Ouchi clan to mirror the elegant city planning of Kyoto, and they remain one of Yamaguchi City’s most popular sightseeing spots.
On the right bank, the atmosphere shifts to a modern hub of creativity, home to the Yamaguchi Prefectural Art Museum, the Prefectural Library, and various local art galleries.
Hagi Castle Town Store
Located in the center of the Hagi Castle Town, just a short walk from the birthplace of Shinsaku Takasugi, a prominent samurai during the Meiji Restoration.
The surrounding area is dotted with historic landmarks, including the Kikuya Residence (a Nationally Designated Important Cultural Property) and the Former Asa-Mori Family Nagaya Gate. The streets here remain beautifully preserved, reflecting the deep history and atmosphere of the samurai era.

The area surrounding our store features beautifully preserved streets lined with traditional white-plastered walls and “Namako” lattice walls, creating a historic atmosphere that attracts many visitors.Near the store, you can explore the Hagi Castle Ruins (Shizuki Park)—the former seat of the Mori clan—along with National Important Cultural Properties like the Kikuya Residence and the Former Asa-Mori Family Nagaya Gate. For those interested in the Meiji Restoration or the history of Hagi-yaki pottery, the Hagi Museum is also within walking distance.
